Zivlo uses call forwarding on the protected person's phone to route calls to a Zivlo UK 0330 number, regulated by Ofcom to be “local rate” or cheaper, regardless of where in the UK you are calling from. This may result in call charges to a local number, although these are typically included in most mobile tariffs. Please check with your mobile provider.

Will It Work for Me?

Here's what you need to get started with Zivlo.

Smartphones Required

Both Protected Members (e.g. Granny) and Guardians need a mobile smartphone. Android and iOS are both supported. Minimum versions: iOS 16 or later (iPhone 8 or newer), Android 10 or later.

Data Connection Needed

Each member's phone needs to be connected to a data network, either through their mobile provider or via Wi-Fi.

Works With Any Phone Number for Guardians and Account Managers

Guardians and Account Managers can use any international phone number, but Granny must have a UK-based phone number. If Granny doesn't have a UK-based number, do get in touch as we may still be able to help.

Landlines & Mobiles Can Be Protected

Both landline and mobile phone numbers can be protected. However, the Protected Member (e.g. Granny) will still need a smartphone to receive all calls. Incoming calls to a landline will be caught by our system and routed to their smartphone. The number we're protecting must be UK-based.

Outgoing & Emergency Calls Unaffected

Zivlo only re-routes incoming calls. Outgoing calls can still be made on the landline or mobile phone as normal, and the ability to make emergency calls is never affected. Zivlo never listens to or records any phone call.

Not Sure?

If you're unsure whether Zivlo will work for your situation, get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

Frequently Asked Questions

Zivlo is £4.99 per month per protected person. Use our launch promo code ZIVLOINTRO at checkout to get £1 off every month for your first year — so just £3.99/month. Each protected person can have up to 3 guardians. That includes unlimited call monitoring by your chosen guardians with no per-call charges, no setup fees, no hidden costs, and no long-term contracts.

When a call comes in to the protected member's phone, Zivlo checks the number against the safe list. If the number is not recognized, every linked guardian receives a real-time notification. Guardians can then choose to silently listen to the call as it happens. If the call sounds suspicious -- a scam, a high-pressure sales pitch, or anything concerning -- the guardian can end the call instantly with a single tap. The protected member simply answers their phone as they always have; no special equipment or behavior changes are needed.

Absolutely. There are no cancellation fees and no long-term commitments. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. When you cancel, your service remains active through the end of your current billing period, so you never lose time you have already paid for.

Privacy is foundational to how we built Zivlo. Calls are monitored in real time only -- we do not record, store, or transcribe any conversations. Guardian listening happens through an encrypted, secure channel. We never sell or share your personal information, call data, or phone numbers with third parties. All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and we comply with all applicable privacy regulations.

The SafeList lets you mark trusted phone numbers -- such as a doctor's office, a pharmacy, close friends, or other family members -- so that calls from those numbers come through normally without triggering guardian alerts. You can add, edit, or remove SafeList entries at any time from the account management dashboard. This ensures guardians are only notified about calls that actually need attention, reducing unnecessary interruptions.

Each Zivlo account supports up to three guardians. All guardians are notified at once when an unrecognised call comes in, so anyone available can step in immediately. This ensures there is always someone watching, even if one guardian is busy or away.
